Book Review for The Zodiac Killer by W.L. Knightly

The Zodiac Killer by W.L. Knightly started out very well, I read the first half in one sitting. I was okay with it going into their personal lives because that makes for a well rounded character. But when it gets to the point of him needing to shave to eat his wife, without the sex scene, it is no longer character development but a waste of space/words that have no bearing whatsoever on the story. The whole serial set of books is fine but they should not be putting a $3-5 price tag on each book unless they are full length. The book puffed up with irrelevant scenes (if they had sex and it was a full scene then that might have been relevant) and makes me think to stretch it to 13 books they are all going to be this way. The BDSM and CBT scenes were needed in this book to go with what I think is going to be the eventual story line, so I will disagree with others who say it is over the top or not needed. Honestly, the editing and story line were very good.

There are a few things that dropped it from 4 stars to 2 for me:
1. To puffed up and should have been an entry novella,
2. unnecessary scenes (called down to mom's nursing home for a fall didn't need 2 pages just a paragraph),
3. I figured out they are around 29 years old but very few people are as far in their careers or as knowledgeable and experienced as they seem to be at this age,
4. They have the emotions and interactions of junior high students not the seasoned adults they should be.

Best cup of coffee ever!

We drink a lot of coffee in my house and have always had an interest in cold brewing. The price and design of Tenquest Cold Brew Coffee Maker made it our choice to start out our cold brew trials with. The look of the carafe is perfect and feels very solid. You can tell this is just good quality once you open the box. The carafe design is nice enough that you can leave on the counter or table while serving, you do not want to hide it like so many items in your kitchen.

Surprisingly is a very simple process to make the cold brew, fill the filter with coffee grounds, coarse grounds are best. Let it brew in cold water in your refrigerator or on the counter in room temp for 12 to 24 hours. I went with 20 hours, we like strong but not too strong. Then you remove the filter and you can begin drinking your coffee. Now you can make your coffee however you like. Personally, I like it a with a touch of heavy whipping cream and some MCT oil. So, I filled a cup a third of the way up with the coffee concentrate from this cold brewer and a splash of couple of tablespoons of HWC and a tablespoon of MCT Oil, filled with water then stirred and enjoyed. I also made Green Tea and Irish Breakfast Tea with this cold brewer and was amazed at the flavor profiles that came out after a 24 hour steep.

It is easy to clean, looks great, holds a large amount of coffee in a small amount of space, and I love how nicely it fits on the shelf of the fridge, as if it was always meant to be there. If you are thinking about buying this, stop thinking about it and do it. This thing is the greatest thing for coffee lovers since the discovery of the bean.

Previously Reviewed Backpack

The OnePack 50L is study enough to hold all my gear for a week in the wilderness but also to take all the stuff I would need for a girls week in Vegas. I was really impressed at how nice it looks and how light the actual pack was. It is a backpack for anyone who wants to travel the world unencumbered by heavy, slow-moving wheeled luggage. The OnePack 50L has more than enough room for all the possessions you will need to travel the world.  Clothes, a camera, a laptop, shoes and gear to go on pretty much any warm adventure you could ever want will fit in this pack. If you want to carry heavy jackets, going-out clothes, multiple pairs of footwear, or other bulky gear, you may want something a tad bigger. If you plan to pack through Europe or Asia for a few weeks or months this pack will hold everything you would need. It is small and light enough to take on any public transportation or be able to explore a city without having to find a place to stow their luggage. It is not for business travelers who want to maintain appearances, nor is it for outdoor enthusiasts looking to spend months on the Appalachian Trail.
